Created from an original fine art photograph of locally farm-grown pressed pansies, this piece was developed through seven layers of silkscreens. Each print is individually screen printed by hand, blending the tactile process of printmaking with the natural precision of the floral form. The pansies, once pressed and photographed, are reinterpreted through layered ink, preserving an interplay of time, place, colour and touch.
